Schork Consulting provides technical preservation consulting and project strategy for historic and existing building projects. We work with owners and project teams to clarify existing conditions, define priorities, and guide decision-making from early planning through construction. Our clients include cultural institutions, development teams, and the architects and contractors they work with.
Schork Consulting is led by Jennifer Schork, trained as an architectural conservator with nearly two decades of experience working with historic and landmark buildings. She understands how these structures behave and how early decisions affect cost, scope, and long-term performance. Her background across conservation, consulting, and construction allows her to connect technical considerations directly to the realities of project execution.
As a former partner at a consulting and contracting firm, Jennifer brings experience in project delivery, financial management, and company leadership. This perspective shapes how decisions are evaluated against budgets, schedules, and team dynamics. She brings structure to complex projects—aligning goals, identifying risks, and coordinating across disciplines as conditions evolve.
Jennifer is a graduate of the Historic Preservation Program at Columbia University’s GSAPP. She has authored publications on repair material research and project case studies and shared her expertise through lectures and teaching engagements. She is a Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC), Chair Emeritus of AIC’s Architectural Specialty Group, and an Association for Preservation Technology (APT) Recognized Professional.
